I was able to challenge myself and still use many of the tricks I learned from earlier projects. However the things I learned on this painting were exceptionally hard to discover. Most of what I like about it were just accidents that happened to add a little more to what I was trying to represent.

I tried to add more colors, like the reflection of the shades of pink and purple on her skin. That was a last minute addition, as there was originally going to just be a black background with a blue highlight.

I also learned that adding texture to the skin will help it look more realistic and not so blurry or painted. The texture will also help shape the facial features. For example; the chin and around the left cheek then down her neck, where the light pierces through her hair. I used all kinds of brush sizes and shapes, mostly in her hair to show depth and translucency.
Eijan - Former Pirate in the Pirates of the Flying Pheonix.
Not only must he find his own path, but he has to guide a lost princess.

Arladia - Crashed down on unfamiliar territory after a murderous attack on her family's Cruiser. With the help of a lone pirate; she will have to find a new life, friend, and home, while trying to also find that she is not just a ranger in the 7 A.R.R.O.W.S. Union.

The actual story is a tie-in to the Root story The Gnomes Of Darktree"

I used the Illustrator Pen tool, gradient mesh, and symbols for the plants and textures.

It is a tourist attraction. I created this image in 2005. In 2006 I traveled to Duval ~ for my sister's wedding, and seen this car for the very first time ever and in real life. To me it was an epic moment, since the entire image that I painted, was actually a real life image that I never knew exsisted.
